I know that most of you have eaten in (or at least heard of) Vikings buffet. I was not even sure if I should still blog about this but decided to since I previously blogged about Buffet 101 here.
My verdict stands though, service is a lot better, there are more desserts (crepes/waffles) and fruit shakes in Buffet 101 but Vikings refill their food faster, more variety and tastes better. Well, that's in my own opinion.
And oh, don't forget to get your reservations ahead of time since there are only few alloted tables for walk-in guests :)

April 30, 2012 (Monday)
Did you know? Monday came from an Old English Word 'Monandaeg' which means Day of the Moon. Hence, the title. Okay, I know, i'm one SABAW person. :( HAHAHA!
Anyway, back to the trip. As what i've said in my previous post. My aunt is here for vacation so we brought her to Tagaytay and Batangas. Let me tell you about our trip through photos :)

My family and I aren't really the 'north' people and maybe the farthest we go on a normal family day or whatsoever is Makati or Greenhills. But thank goodness, my aunt from the States is here for a visit and she told us to dine in Coconut House which is found in QC Circle. My first time there and its like Seattle (odba! Sosyal) or Luneta of the north. Hahaha!
So what's different on this place is that everything on the menu has coconut as an ingredient (literally!).
Buko Pandan Shake- This is what you call LOVE <3
its a mixture of different fruits like Calamansi and they used coconut water as the water. I found it weird however I believe its drinkable? :))
Okoy!
Tastes normal, I guess? Nothing great!
Vegetable Sampler- this consists of Laing, Gising Gising and Langka...
I personally enjoyed the Gising Gising since its really spicy. It was just perfect to match with all the food that tasted so coconut-y.
If you can see at the back, there's a pancit there made out of Coconut noodles. Yes! A point for creative in here! :)
Chicken Binakol
I personally enjoyed the Binakol of Kabisera in The Fort. :| But don't get me wrong, it still tastes gooood!
Pork Sinigang Luto sa Buko
This does not taste like Sinigang at all. I mean, 'no one eye closed asim' face in here.
Adobo sa Gata
I super love this! It really tasted good and I actually like it better than a normal cooked Adobo. Trust me, because i'm an Adobo hater! :))
Okay, I just want to share a story... After eating, we were all so 'umay' with all the coconut and so my uncle ordered 'coconut coffee' without the coconut water on it. Waiter agreed. Come the coffee, yes its the normal Barako but then it still came with----- coconut sugar!! So wala pa rin takas ang uncle ko. HAHAHA!Overall, I loved how they incorporated Coconut in all the items in the menu plus, the price is not expensive however, I can't guarantee that you will not have the 'umay' sensation after.
Me being the nerdy blogger in here and Coconut House, just want to share the health benefits coconut provides!!! It actually has 16 amino acids (out of 20) that helps in the metabolism of our body that aids in keeping us so HEALTHY! So I suggest, drink drink drink! Or perhaps, eat eat eat? :)Always, Kiara

Most of my batchmates would post their photos sporting our new uniform (one side buttoned Chinese collared dress) and receive numerous likes from us boasting that 'yes! finally! we made it through third year aka delurio/every man kind's nightmare'- no exaggeration okayyy. :| :))
But anyway, too much talking... well, I do not have my own photo since I've been feeling so ugly this past few days because of my sty thus, hello eyeglasses! :|
So I was assigned in Bacteriology lab of San Juan de Dios (walking distance to MOA :>) and crap! I forgot the details about this like what biological indicator is used or whats the normal flora of this and that. I really felt that I made a bad first impression because of this. However, I could say that our senior staff was really kind and guided us (maybe he knows that our minds were still on vacation) :)
My first real day tomorrow, 12nn to 8pm. Gotta hit my old notes tonight or perhaps watch my teleseryes first? Hmm.
Tell me your experiences too!

I have recently known that this particular restaurant is named as one of the Philippines' top restaurants and so, I decided to dine for the second time around to celebrate Doj's birthday in Ocean Park Manila
I can honestly say we have the worse combinations of food from Thai to Chinese to Singaporean to Indian. All in one seating. Weird huh? But even so, its foodgasmic!
Coffee Spareribs
Well, I'm no coffee drinker but I would recommend this for first timers since this is something really different. You can really taste and smell the aroma of the coffee.
Deep fried Catfish with Green Mango Salad
We ordered this at the later part of our meal since I insisted that I needed a 'sour' taste in our meal. Hence, this. And in fact, its even my most favorite part of the meal! Its fried deep to perfection and its not even oily or anything.
Beef Satay
I am a big fan of dips and sauces! This is actually my first time to taste this and I really loveeee the peanut sauce. Its so nutty and blends well with the marinated soft beef. Though, I think this is expensive for the price since there were only 5 short sticks of beef.
Have you dined here? Or visited Ocean Park this summer once again? :)
